How To Fasten Objects on the Wall

In the house, we often have to hang or fasten things to a wall that can turn an utterly simple job into a nightmare without proper knowledge of how to get it done. Many do not realize that there are many different types of fixtures that are made and designed to work only with specific types of walls structures. To be successful in fastening something onto a wall say a picture which is relatively light to a cabinet which needs a lot of strength or you end up braking your grandmother’s antique china.

Wall structures come in many shapes and forms and the most common types are drywall, double walls and solid walls that are typically made of concrete. The later type is the hardest type to hang from but is the best surface on which to hang heavy objects such as cabinets and other heavy hardware. To hang medium to heavy weight objects, you might also need knowledge in using basic power tools like an electric drill by which you make pilot holes into a wall.
